Operations Manager

About Us
We are an asset-based trucking company operating in the United States with a growing fleet of 200+ trucks, primarily flatbed and step deck. As we continue to scale, we are looking for a strong Operations / Dispatch Manager to lead our dispatch team and drive performance.

Role Overview
You will be responsible for managing a team of dispatchers, keeping trucks moving efficiently, and improving company metrics (rate per mile, on-time delivery, driver utilization, deadhead, etc.).
This is not an entry-level role. We’re looking for someone who can take control, make decisions under pressure, and hold people accountable.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and manage a team of dispatchers to ensure daily on-time pick-up and delivery.
• Monitor fleet performance and actively work to improve revenue per truck and rate per mile.
• Assign trucks efficiently to profitable freight while minimizing empty miles and downtime.
• Handle escalations: issues at pickup, delivery, transit delays, customer problems, driver conflicts.
• Communicate with drivers professionally, clearly, and directly — especially in high-pressure situations.
• Communicate with customers/brokers when there are problems and protect company relationships.
• Track and enforce company standards and policies within the dispatch team.
• Report performance, problem areas, and solutions to upper management.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous proven experience in operations / dispatch management in U.S. trucking.
• Strong preference for candidates with flatbed / step deck / open deck experience.
• Strong leadership presence.
• Excellent communication skills in English (clear, direct, calm under pressure).
• Ability to think fast, problem-solve, and make decisions without waiting for someone else to tell you what to do.
• High sense of responsibility.

Working Conditions
Full-time, in-office. (No remote.)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 15:00–00:00 (Moldova local time).
Location: Chisinau.
